Hello CPIM instructors and candidates! I took the new CPIM 8.0 exam yesterday and I am very pleased with the contents of the exam . The CPIM certification is intended to give a professional the ability to demonstrate knowledge in increasing an organization's profitability by optimizing its planning, production and inventory management within the "four walls" of the organization. While the CPIM courseware also delves into many best supply chain practices, the exam itself sticks to the knitting of operations management and aligns with the CPIM Exam Content Manual. And to the intention of preparing individuals for internal organizational improvements in planning, sourcing, producing and delivering its products and services.

I was also delighted to see that the item writers have done a fantastic job of crafting questions in a very straight forward fashion. Most questions are right to the point and easy to understand, even if English is not your primary language.

If you are studying for the exam, I encourage you to read the material carefully, use the Learning System tools to monitor your progress, take the practice exams and then go take the real exam!
